Custom AI Applications & Agents

AI built for one business problem, wired into the systems that hold the answer. Six to twelve weeks from scope to something running against real data.

The demo works. The deployment is the hard part.

Building something impressive on a sample of data takes a fortnight. Getting it to run every day, against live systems, on data that changes underneath it, is a different job.

  • It has to read from the ERP, the order system and the product catalog — each with its own idea of what a product is.
  • It has to be right often enough that people stop double-checking it, and honest enough to say when it is not sure.
  • It has to be watchable, so somebody can tell six months later whether it is still working.
  • It has to cost a knowable amount per use, or finance will switch it off.

We build for that from the first week, because we also run the platforms and the operations these applications have to live inside.

How we build

Six to twelve weeks, scoped against one decision or one process. Not a platform programme. One problem, one owner, one measurable before-and-after.

Integrated, not adjacent. ERP, order management and product systems are part of the build, not a later phase. This is the single biggest reason AI projects slip.

Built on a data foundation we already run. Our data quality and governance engine sits underneath, so the application is working from data that has been checked rather than hoped about.

Agentic where it earns it. Multi-step agents where the task genuinely needs judgment and tool use. A simpler pattern where it does not, because simpler things break less.

Computer vision 1

Document and invoice automation

Reading unstructured documents — invoices, contracts, specifications, supplier paperwork — and turning them into structured records the downstream system will accept, with the exceptions routed to a person instead of guessed at.
Vector 1

Demand forecasting and planning

Forecasts built on your own history and signals, delivered into the planning cycle people already run rather than into a separate dashboard nobody opens.
AI Monitoring 1

Price matching and competitive intelligence

Watching the market at catalog scale, matching products across sellers, and surfacing the price and assortment moves that matter to a category manager.
Gen AI 1

Recruiter and applicant screening

Screening and shortlisting against role requirements, with the reasoning shown, so a hiring manager can see why a candidate surfaced.
Ml ops and LLM 1

Competitive and trend scanning

Tracking what is gaining demand — attributes, claims, formats, price points — before it shows up in your own sales data.
Some problems do not need a bespoke build. These are productized and deploy in days rather than months.
AI Agentic 1

Product Selector

Shoppers and dealers describe what they need in plain words. The agent asks the two or three clarifying questions a good salesperson would, filters a large technical catalog on many parameters at once, and recommends with reasons. It answers from product, service, warranty and troubleshooting knowledge in one place, holds context across a conversation, and handles multiple languages. Live in production at a global industrial manufacturer.
Layer 1

Sales Role-Play

An AI role-play agent for sales training. Representatives practise full conversations against a simulated customer — objection handling, buyer personas, product scenarios — get scored feedback, and managers see where the skill gaps sit across a team. Domain-tuned to your products and your sales motion.

Trend Scouter

Competitive and demand-signal scanning, packaged. Covered in more depth on the Accelerators pages.
One way of deciding how every AI application is built, for a client or for ourselves. One rule sits above it. Shared parts are built once and used by every application: the model gateway, the redaction service, the test set and the approval queue.

Two questions set the class

How much does the model decide? The range runs from plain software to a gated agent. What is the most sensitive data it touches? The two answers give the build its class. The architecture, rails, tooling and model follow from that class. Nobody argues them again on each project.

Pipeline or agent

Is the path known before the run starts? Then it is a pipeline, however clever it feels. Calling it an agent buys agent tooling, agent review and agent risk. The work needs none of them.

Rails that climb with the class

Each step up adds its own rails. First a gateway and versioned prompts. Then cited sources and an honest “I don’t know”. Then error handling on every record. At the top, saved state, step traces and an approval on every write. No step is optional.
Ai Governance 1

Nothing leaves unredacted

Names, numbers and prices become placeholders before anything leaves your walls. A second scan counts what the redactor missed. Planted fake records show a leak the moment it happens. Each local language gets its own test.
AI Monitoring 1

Three gates, no exceptions

Before any code, the class is written down, a test set exists, and a named person checks the answers. Before go-live, a red-team pass, telemetry someone has read, and a rollback that has been tried. While it runs, a weekly human sample and a model re-test every quarter.

Your rules become the test

You may already have a rule engine, a checklist or a spec. If so, that is the test, and we do not write a new one. Our own data-quality engine was never replaced by AI. It became the thing that grades the AI.

A step up means a new class

Applications drift upward on their own. A pipeline that starts choosing its own next step is now an agent, even if nobody decided that. So we review the class of every live application each quarter. A step up means new tests, new rails and the first gate again.

Private Enterprise AI

Where the data cannot leave, we deploy the application inside your own perimeter. Enterprise sign-on, role-based access, an AI gateway, your choice of commercial or open-weight models, and retrieval grounded in your own documents. AWS-native, live in six to eight weeks, and no business data leaves your environment.

Frequently asked questions

One application against one process, integrated and running on real data. Not a platform, and not five use cases at once. The timebox is what keeps it honest.

Both, and the distinction matters less than whether the task needs multi-step judgment. Where it does, an agent. Where it does not, a simpler application that will break less often.

Whichever suits the task and your constraints — commercial or open-weight. Under Private Enterprise AI the choice sits behind a gateway you control, so it can change without rebuilding the application.

That is the part we treat as the main event rather than a final phase. Integration with the ERP, order management and product systems is scoped in week one.

Yes. Private Enterprise AI runs the whole thing inside your perimeter, with no business data leaving it.

It moves into managed AI operations — monitoring for drift and quality, incident response, cost attribution and audit evidence. That is a separate page, and it is where most of the long-term value is protected.

Often, yes. It starts with establishing what the existing system actually does and what it is connected to, which is usually less than the documentation claims.

We ask two questions. How much does the model decide? What is the most sensitive data it touches? The answers set the architecture, the rails, the tooling and the model.

Bring us one process

One that is slow, manual, or full of judgment calls nobody has time for. We will tell you whether AI is the right answer, what it would need to reach, and what it would take to find out.
